India is one of the countries in the world where linguistic and cultural diversity exists in an exceptionally rich and extensive form. Numerous languages and dialects are spoken across its states, regions, and communities, reflecting the multifaceted identity of Indian culture. Language is not merely a medium for the exchange of ideas and emotions; it also serves as a carrier of a society’s culture, traditions, intellectual heritage, and social consciousness. Recognizing this multilingual character, the Constitution of India has adopted Hindi as the Official Language of the Union while providing for the protection and promotion of all Indian languages. Hindi has played a significant role in strengthening national integration, social harmony, and cultural dialogue. With this objective, Hindi education has been incorporated into both school and higher education systems across various states.
